A year has already passed since COVID-19 spread around the world, bringing a lot of changes with it. During much of that difficult time our social life was confined to our homes. We worked, studied and rested in our homes. Traditional ways of celebrating family occasions, including First Communion, have changed completely. Some ceremonies have been rescheduled. Last year First Communion parties were held from July until September. The dates of First Communion parties were put off to protect the health of their guests, especially the elderly. Sometimes the number of people invited was very small for fear of infection. Hotels and restaurants organising family parties have responded to that by working out procedures which involve strict sanitary protocol.
This year’s First Communion ceremonies are scheduled in Mszczonów, Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Radziejowice for May and June. Children, parents, parishioners and event organisers still remember what happened in 2020. The biggest problem is that nothing can be planned in the long term because of constantly changing restrictions. That is why people are often cautious when it comes to setting dates and numbers of potential guests. COVID-19-related clauses have been added to contracts for the organisation of events to ensure that both the parents and the restaurants feel safe. Despite all this, nobody is certain what their First Communion will look like this year.
A new approach welcomed by many people is the possibility to organise First Communion ceremonies for individual children and their families. An individual Holy Mass on a specifically selected date and time helps to maintain the spiritual dimension of the ceremony and fosters family bonding. This also ensures that the sanitary measures are maintained and reduces the risk of infections. Most parishes allow their members to choose the form of celebrating their children’s First Communion.
Hotel Panorama*** has put in a lot of preparation to ensure that all sanitary measures are followed, as they will probably stay with us for a long time. The additional measures include:
If you are planning a traditional First Communion party you have a lot of tasks to complete: determining the list of guests, choosing the venue, planning the menu, decorating the venue, picking the cake, choosing party favours and additional attractions for participants. Taking care of all aspects, signing the necessary agreements and ensuring everything is ready on time is very time-consuming and requires great organisation skills. We would definitely recommend entrusting the matter to an experienced event manager who will advise you on all the above tasks. After all, the First Communion is the time of our children's spiritual growth, and parents should be with their children during that time. An event manager is usually a person who has extensive knowledge of the current trends in event organisation. You can use the ideas provided by an event manager and receive support and inspiration in all aspects of planning your event.
Hotel Panorama*** provides comprehensive event services. Our advantages are:
You will receive comprehensive services that will allow you to reduce the costs of the event and ensure its success.
First Communion party at a highlander cottage? Yes, you can to this in Mazovia! Hotel Panorama has not one but two genuine highlander cottages, located in the hotel garden. The cottages were built by highlanders from raw wood and finished with distinctive Zakopane-style elements. Decorative shutters, door fittings, embroidered cafe curtains, colourful table covers, the warm colour of wooden walls and floor finishing with natural stone conjure up the idyllic atmosphere of the Podhale region. A First Communion party held in such an original venue will surely be remembered by guests for a long time.
Many people would welcome the idea of a First Communion party organised in a big garden, such as the Zbiroża Estate. Green area – a large area of 13.5 ha, with old trees, a big pond, a flower meadow and a tavern is a very charming place, ideal for a family meeting. The tavern has all the necessary facilities to serve food as per the highest standards and under a sanitary regime. The spacious garden encourages children and adults at the First Communion party to be active. A long family stroll after the first meal is a great way to take in some fresh air before the festivities continue. A First Communion party can even be a family picnic with inflatables, cotton candy and popcorn. Everything is up to your imagination.
If large meetings outside the house are not possible – and this may happen due to pandemic restrictions – we invite you to order First Communion catering. Takeout food can be picked up personally or delivered to your home with waiter services. We still hope that this worst-case scenario will not happen.
We invite you to take advantage of the experience of Hotel Panorama*** in the organisation of various family events, including First Communion parties.
